The United States Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) is looking to add an attorney in good standing with the bar to advise and take on a lead role as a “crypto-specialist” in its Division of Trading and Markets.
Located in Washington, DC, the successful candidate will have an expert-level industry knowledge of cryptocurrency and digital asset securities and products. One of the major responsibilities will be to establish a comprehensive plan for the SEC to address cryptocurrency and the digital securities. Representation and liaison with the Financial Stability Oversight Council’s Digital Assets and FinTech working groups is also a key responsibility.
The role pays $144,850 – $238,787 annually and the core competencies are legal, government and jurisprudence, strategic thinking, technical competencies and written communication.
